
Common Problems
Symptom: After following the instructions and
clicking on the application link all you see is a white screen with
a caption that says "Click the back arrow to return to the
applications menu".

Symptom: After following the instructions and clicking on
the application link you receive the message "Attachment to the running Virtual
Machine failed".

Symptom: After clicking on a button to run a report, the report appears to
run, but Adobe Acrobat does not open and the report does not pop up.

Sympton: After clicking on the link to launch a program the application doesn't load,
or you receive a message that says "The connection has timed out. The server is taking too long to respond.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to
load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a
firewall or proxy, make sure that your web browser is permitted to access the Web."
Solution: A firewall on the client's side may be blocking the ports used by the
application. Oracle JInitiator uses ports 7777 through 7780. Please contact your IT support.
